Biography
Gale Tattersall (born 1948) is an English cinematographer. He trained at the London Film School after beginning in photography, and received a British Film Institute grant for his early short film Value for Money (1970).
Tattersall has worked as director of photography on feature films including The Commitments (1991), Tank Girl (1995), Virtuosity (1995), Pushing Tin (1999), Thir13en Ghosts (2001) and Ghost Ship (2002). He served as director of photography on 120 episodes of the television series House (2004–2012) and on Grace and Frankie (2015–2022). He received an Emmy nomination for the miniseries From the Earth to the Moon (1998) and two ASC Award nominations for episodes of House.
