Biography
George Boemler was an American film editor. Born on 5 March 1902 in Kansas City, Missouri, he worked primarily at MGM from the late 1920s until the mid-1950s.
He edited numerous features including Waterloo Bridge (1940), Blossoms in the Dust (1941), Adam's Rib (1949), The Asphalt Jungle (1950), Oklahoma! (1955), Run Silent, Run Deep (1958) and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (1961). He also worked on television series such as Ben Casey and Peyton Place. Boemler received an Academy Award nomination for best editing for Oklahoma! and an Emmy nomination for Ben Casey.
He died on 11 June 1968 in Los Angeles, California.
