Biography
George DiCenzo was an American actor, voice actor, producer and acting teacher. Born in New Haven, Connecticut, he began his career as an associate producer on the soap opera Dark Shadows before moving into acting in the early 1970s. He appeared in more than thirty feature films and numerous television series and animated productions over a career spanning more than three decades.
DiCenzo is known for his role as Sam Baines in Back to the Future (1985). Other film credits include Major Benchley in Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977) and a part in The Exorcist III (1990). He also provided voices for animated series such as He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and Batman: The Animated Series, and taught acting in New York and Philadelphia after training with Milton Katselas. He died on 9 August 2010.
