Biography
Gershon Hinkson is a film and television editor. He began his career as an apprentice editor on Spike Lee's Clockers (1995) after attending Brooklyn College. He has worked as an assistant or additional editor on numerous features, including Spider-Man 2 (2004), Æon Flux (2005), The Interpreter (2005), Poseidon (2006), Jumper (2008), True Grit (2010), Ocean's Eight (2018) and Chaos Walking (2021).
Hinkson has edited episodes of the Apple TV+ series Severance (2022), the film The Independent (2022) and episodes of The Best Man: The Final Chapters (2022). He has also directed, written and produced short films, and founded the production company Igneous Features. His credits include collaborations with directors such as Alfonso Cuarón, the Coen brothers, Sydney Pollack, Steven Soderbergh and Doug Liman.
