Biography
Grace Gummer is an American actress. Born Grace Jane Gummer on 9 May 1986 in New York City, she is the daughter of actress Meryl Streep and sculptor Don Gummer. She graduated from Vassar College with a degree in art history and Italian in 2008.
Gummer made her screen debut as a child in The House of the Spirits (1993). She received a Theatre World Award for her Broadway debut as Chloë Coverly in the 2011 revival of Arcadia. Her television credits include recurring roles in The Newsroom (2012–2014) and American Horror Story: Freak Show (2014–2015), and regular roles in Extant (2014–2015) and Mr. Robot (2015–2019). Film roles include Margin Call (2011), Larry Crowne (2011), Frances Ha (2013) and The Homesman (2014). She played Barbara Landau in the 2025 film Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere.
