Biography
Grant Freckelton is an Australian production designer, art director and visual effects artist. He is credited as production designer on The Lego Movie (2014) and The Lego Batman Movie (2017), and as art director on Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole (2010).
Freckelton began his career in visual effects and art department roles, working on films including 300 (2006), The Matrix Reloaded (2003) and Moulin Rouge! (2001). He has been associated with Animal Logic on multiple projects and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Illustration from Curtin University. He later joined Netflix Animation Studios.
His awards include AACTA Awards for The Lego Movie (2015) and Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole (2012), and a Satellite Award for 300 (2007).
