Biography
Greg Proops is an American actor, stand-up comedian and television host. He was born on 3 October 1959 in Phoenix, Arizona, and raised in San Carlos, California. He attended the College of San Mateo and studied improvisation and acting at San Francisco State University.
Proops is widely known for his appearances on the British and American versions of the improvisational comedy series Whose Line Is It Anyway?. His voice work includes the roles of Harlequin Demon, Devil and Sax Player in The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993), Fode in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999) and Male Lover Bear in Brother Bear (2003). He has also voiced Bob in the US version of Bob the Builder and appeared in series including True Jackson, VP and The Drew Carey Show.
Proops has been married to Jennifer Canaga since 1990.
