Biography
Gretchen Mol is an American actress. She was born on 8 November 1972 in Deep River, Connecticut.
Mol trained at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and the William Esper Studio. She began her film career in the mid-1990s and has appeared in Rounders (1998), The Thirteenth Floor (1999), The Notorious Bettie Page (2005), 3:10 to Yuma (2007) and Manchester by the Sea (2016). On television she played Gillian Darmody in the HBO series Boardwalk Empire (2010–2014), for which she shared two Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
Mol is married to film director Tod Williams.
