Biography
Haluk Bilginer is a Turkish actor. Born in İzmir in 1954, he trained at the Ankara State Conservatory and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
He is known in the United Kingdom for playing Mehmet Osman in the BBC soap opera EastEnders (1985–1989). In Turkey and internationally he has appeared in films including Winter Sleep (2014), which won the Palme d'Or, Halloween (2018), Ben-Hur (2016) and Maria (2024), in which he played Aristotle Onassis. For his performance in the series Şahsiyet (2018) he received the International Emmy Award for Best Actor.
