Biography
Hartley Gorenstein is a Canadian producer and production manager. Born on 2 June 1966 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, he trained in law, graduating with honours from the University of Sheffield and obtaining a master's degree in biotechnological law and ethics, before entering the Toronto film industry.
He has worked as line producer and production manager on feature films including Room (2015) and The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones (2013), and as producer on titles such as Polar (2019) and entries in the Resident Evil franchise. On television he served as producer on The Boys (2019–2020) and What We Do in the Shadows (2019), and received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Drama Series for the former in 2021.
Gorenstein has also produced episodes of Mayor of Kingstown (2021) and Chucky (2023), and has served on Toronto's Film, Television and Digital Media Advisory Board.
