Biography
Héctor R. Figueroa was a cinematographer active in film and television for more than four decades. Born in Los Angeles on 4 January 1934, he began in the industry as a grip and advanced to director of photography. He was one of the first to use the Steadicam professionally.
Figueroa served as director of photography on the series Cagney & Lacey (1982) and ER (1994). His other television credits included The Greatest American Hero, Night Court and Jake and the Fatman. He also shot numerous television movies and miniseries. Figueroa died in Los Angeles on 26 December 2012.
