Biography
Heino Ferch is a German actor known for roles in film, theatre and television. Born on 18 August 1963 in Bremerhaven, he began performing on stage as a teenager and trained at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, graduating in 1987. He joined the ensemble of the Freie Volksbühne Berlin shortly afterwards and later appeared at the Schillertheater.
Ferch gained prominence with his performance as Albert Speer in Downfall (2004). Other notable film roles include Harry Melchior in The Tunnel (2001), a part in Run Lola Run (1998) and appearances in Comedian Harmonists (1997) and The Baader Meinhof Complex (2008). He has received awards including the Bambi, Bavarian Film Awards and Golden Camera.
He has also worked extensively in television, including the series Scene of the Crime and international productions such as Napoleon (2002).
