Biography

Herbert Heyes was an American actor. Born in Vader, Washington, he began his stage career around 1908 with the Baker Stock Company in Portland, Oregon. He appeared in silent films from 1915, signed with Fox Films the following year, and later worked in radio and business interests before returning to film roles in the 1940s.

He appeared in nearly 100 films between 1915 and 1956. His credits include Miracle on 34th Street (1947), T-Men (1947), Union Station (1950), Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye (1950), A Place in the Sun (1951) as Charles Eastman, and The Court-Martial of Billy Mitchell (1955). He also performed on Broadway in the 1940s.

Heyes died in 1958 in North Hollywood, California.
