Biography
Hervé de Luze is a French film editor born in 1949. He has around fifty feature film credits and is also credited as Hervé Deluze.
He edited eight films for director Claude Berri between 1981 and 1999, and has been Roman Polanski's principal editor since Pirates (1986), including The Pianist (2002). He has also worked with Alain Resnais on several films.
de Luze won César Awards for best editing on On connaît la chanson (1997), Ne le dis à personne (2006) and The Ghost Writer (2010), and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Film Editing for The Pianist.
