Biography
Hippolyte Girardot is a French actor, film director and screenwriter. Born Frédéric Girardot on 10 October 1955 in Boulogne-Billancourt, Hauts-de-Seine, he began appearing in films in the 1970s.
He is known for roles including Bernard Olivier in Manon of the Spring (1986), Hippo in Un monde sans pitié (1990), Chou-fleur in The French Dispatch (2021) and Robert Danjou in the series Irma Vep (2022). Girardot co-wrote and directed the feature Yuki and Nina (2009).
He is the father of actress Ana Girardot.
