Biography

Hiroshi Hayashi was a Japanese actor. Born on 31 January 1905 in Kyoto, he appeared in numerous films from the 1950s onwards, often in supporting roles.

He is credited as the Chairman of the Diet Committee in Godzilla (1954). Other notable appearances include the Weak Ronin in Seven Samurai (1954), a yakuza in Ikiru (1952), Gôzô Shimizu in Jigoku (1960) and Kiemon Itô in Ghost Story of Yotsuya (1959). He also worked in television, including an episode of Kamen Rider (1971).

Hayashi was married to Moto Inagaki from 1940 until their divorce in 1965; they had two sons. He died on 22 December 1971.
