Biography
Hubert C. de la Bouillerie is an American film editor and director with French roots. Born on 28 January 1951, he began his career as an assistant editor in the 1970s on projects including Woodstock (1970) and Roots: The Next Generations (1979). He became a credited editor from the mid-1980s, working on films such as The Witches of Eastwick (1987), Tango & Cash (1989), Police Academy 5: Assignment Miami Beach (1988), Police Academy 6: City Under Siege (1989), Graffiti Bridge (1990), Mo' Money (1992), Blank Check (1994) and Highlander II: The Quickening (1991).
De la Bouillerie directed the television films The Right to Remain Silent (1996) and The Apocalypse (1997), and an episode of the series Boston Legal (2005). He received an Academy Award nomination for the short film 12:01. He was married to producer and writer Debbie Robins de la Bouillerie until her death in 2015.
