Ice Cube, born O'Shea Jackson on 15 June 1969 in Los Angeles, is an American actor and rapper. He began his career as a member of the hip-hop group N.W.A. before transitioning to film.

His screen debut came as Doughboy in Boyz n the Hood (1991). He later played Chief Elgin in Three Kings (1999) and appeared in Friday (1995), which he also wrote.
