Biography
Ingvar Eggert Sigurðsson (also credited as Ingvar E. Sigurðsson) is an Icelandic actor born on 22 November 1963 in Reykjavík. He has worked extensively in Icelandic cinema, television and stage productions since the early 1990s.
He is known for roles in films directed by Friðrik Þór Friðriksson and Baltasar Kormákur, including Angels of the Universe (2000) and Jar City (2006), as well as Everest (2015). He gained wider recognition for portraying police officer Ásgeir in the television series Trapped (2015–2018).
Sigurðsson has collaborated repeatedly with director Hlynur Pálmason, appearing in A White, White Day (2019) and as Ragnar in Godland (2022). His international credits include The Northman (2022), the Rebel Moon films (2023–2024) and Killing Eve (2022). He has won the Edda Award for Actor of the Year four times.
