Biography

Isis Mussenden is an American costume designer. She was born on 22 May 1959 in Los Angeles, California. She studied studio art at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and earned a BFA in fashion design from Parsons School of Design in New York City.

Mussenden began her career working as a seamstress for the New York Shakespeare Festival. Her film credits include American Psycho (2000), Shrek (2001), Shrek 2 (2004), The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005), The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008), The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (2010), Puss in Boots (2011) and The Wolverine (2013). She received the Costume Designers Guild Award for excellence in fantasy film for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and was invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 2008.
