Biography
Jacob Ming-Trent is an American actor. Born in Boston and raised in Pittsburgh, he began performing at the age of eleven. He trained at the Stella Adler Conservatory in New York City from the age of seventeen, and was the youngest person accepted into the Public Theater’s Shakespeare Lab and the American Conservatory Theater’s MFA programme.
He has appeared in several Broadway productions, including the original casts of Shrek the Musical (2008) and Hands on a Hardbody (2013), and the 2024 revival of Gypsy. Off-Broadway credits include Father Comes Home from the Wars by Suzan-Lori Parks, for which he won a Lucille Lortel Award. On screen he has played Panda in the HBO series Watchmen (2019), Lucien in Only Murders in the Building (2021), and roles in The Possession of Hannah Grace (2018) and SuperFly (2018).
