Biography
Jane Anderson is an American playwright, screenwriter, filmmaker and actress. She wrote for the AMC series Mad Men (2007), contributing to the second season.
She wrote and directed the feature film The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio (2005) and the screenplay for It Could Happen to You (1994). Anderson received a Primetime Emmy Award for her teleplay for the miniseries Olive Kitteridge (2014). Other credits include episodes of The Wonder Years (1988) and The Facts of Life (1979), the screenplay for The Wife (2017), and the teleplay and direction for Normal (2003). She began her career as an actress in New York before moving to Los Angeles in the early 1980s to write for film and television.
