Biography

Janine Jackowski is a German film producer. She studied film production at the University of Television and Film Munich from 1998 to 2002, where she met director Maren Ade. In 1999, while still a student, she co-founded the production company Komplizen Film with Ade.

Jackowski has produced or co-produced numerous films, including Ade's The Forest for the Trees (2003), Everyone Else (2009) and Toni Erdmann (2016); Miguel Gomes's Tabu (2012); and later works such as Spencer (2021), Corsage (2022), Maria (2024) and Sentimental Value (2025). She is based in Berlin and was invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 2019.

Toni Erdmann brought her the European Film Award and German Film Award for Best Film, along with a BAFTA nomination for Best Film Not in the English Language.
