Biography
Jarosław Kamiński is a Polish film editor. Born on 13 November 1960 in Łódź, he graduated in electrical engineering from the Łódź Polytechnic in 1987 and from the Film and Television School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague the same year. He later obtained a doctorate from Prague and a habilitation in fine arts specialising in editing.
Kamiński has edited numerous feature films, including Ida (2013), The Lure (2015), Cold War (2018), Quo Vadis, Aida? (2020) and Restore Point (2023). He has received the European Film Award for Best Editor for Cold War and multiple Polish Film Awards for best editing, including for Ida and You Are God (2012). He has also taught at the National Film School in Łódź, serving as vice-dean of the directing faculty from 1996 to 1999.
