Biography
Jay Laga'aia is a New Zealand-Australian actor and musician. He was born on 10 September 1963 in Auckland, New Zealand.
He is known for playing Captain Typho in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones (2002) and Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (2005). His other screen credits include the films The Navigator: A Medieval Odyssey (1988), Daybreakers (2010) and Nim's Island (2008), and television roles such as Draco in Xena: Warrior Princess (1995), Senior Constable Tommy Tavita in Water Rats (1996–2000), David Silesi in Street Legal (2000–2003) and Elijah Johnson in Home and Away (2010–2012). He has also appeared in theatre, including as Mufasa in productions of The Lion King, and has worked in children's television.
