Biography
Jean-Claude Kalache is a cinematographer at Pixar Animation Studios. He began his career there in lighting roles on early shorts and features, including Geri's Game (1997), A Bug's Life (1998), Toy Story 2 (1999) and Monsters, Inc. (2001).
Kalache advanced to director of photography credits on Cars (2006), Up (2009), Monsters University (2013), Toy Story 4 (2019) and Elemental (2023). He is also credited on Toy Story 5 (2026). He holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design (1993) and a Master of Science in Visualization (1997) from Texas A&M University.
