Biography
Jeffrey Bell, also credited as Jeffrey Jackson Bell, is an American television writer and producer. He began his career writing for three seasons of The X-Files (1993).
Bell joined Angel (1999) as a writer, director and producer, serving as showrunner for its final two seasons. He later worked as a writer and producer on series including Alias (2001), Day Break (2006), Harper's Island (2009) and Spartacus (2010). From 2013 to 2020 he was co-showrunner and writer on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013).
Bell studied at the University of Cincinnati and received an MFA from the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television in 1990. He is a visiting assistant professor in the UCLA Producers Program.
