Biography

Kevin Hooks (born 19 September 1958) is an American actor and television and film director. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the son of actor and director Robert Hooks.

Hooks began his career as a child actor, appearing in films including Sounder (1972) and the television series The White Shadow. He later moved into directing, helming feature films such as Passenger 57 (1992) and Fled (1996). His television directing credits include episodes of The X-Files (2018), Prison Break, Lost, 24 and Supernatural.

He directed the Disney Channel film The Color of Friendship (2000), for which he shared a Primetime Emmy Award for outstanding children's programme.
