Biography
Jeffrey Lynn, born Ragnar Godfrey Lind, was an American actor who appeared in films and television from the late 1930s onwards. He attended Bates College and worked as a high school teacher before entering acting through summer stock and small Broadway roles.
Lynn made his film debut in 1938 and gained prominence playing Felix Deitz in Four Daughters (1938). He reprised the role in the sequels Daughters Courageous (1939), Four Wives (1939) and Four Mothers (1941). Other early film roles included The Roaring Twenties (1939), All This, and Heaven Too (1940) and A Letter to Three Wives (1949). His career was interrupted by military service in the Second World War, during which he received a Bronze Star.
Later credits included appearances in BUtterfield 8 (1960), Tony Rome (1967) and episodes of television series such as Murder, She Wrote (1984). He also worked as a film producer and later in real estate.
