Biography
Jenna Bans is an American screenwriter and television producer. She began her career as a staff writer on the 2004 television film Fearless before joining Desperate Housewives (2004–2007) as a writer and rising to executive story editor.
Bans wrote and produced episodes of Grey's Anatomy (2008–2012) and Private Practice (2007). She later served as a writer and co-executive producer on Scandal (2012–2014). She created the series Off the Map (2011), The Family (2016), Good Girls (2018–2021) and Grosse Pointe Garden Society (2025).
Bans is married to writer and producer Justin Spitzer.
