Biography
Jeff Melman, also credited as Jeffrey Melman, is an American television director and producer. Born on 18 May 1947 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, he began his career in the 1970s as an associate director and assistant director before moving into directing and producing.
Melman has directed episodes of numerous series, including Frasier (1993), Arrested Development (2003), Malcolm in the Middle (2000), Two and a Half Men (2003), Modern Family (2009), Grey's Anatomy (2005), Desperate Housewives (2004) and Community (2009). He served as a producer on Night Court and Malcolm in the Middle.
He received Primetime Emmy nominations for directing and producing Malcolm in the Middle, as well as a Directors Guild of America nomination for his work on Grey's Anatomy.
