Biography

Adam Davidson is an American television and film director, also credited as Adam Rosh Davidson. Born in Los Angeles, California, he graduated from Kenyon College in 1986 and from Columbia University School of the Arts in 1994. He is the son of theatre director Gordon Davidson.

Davidson’s short film The Lunch Date (1989) won the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film and the Short Film Palme d’Or at the 1990 Cannes Film Festival. He has directed episodes of series including Six Feet Under (2001), Deadwood (2004), Lost (2004), Grey’s Anatomy (2005), Dexter (2006), Fringe (2008), True Blood (2008), Community (2009) and The Rookie (2018). He has also worked as a producer and actor.
