Biography
Jere Pound Huggins was an American film editor. Born on 24 November 1940, he earned degrees in philosophy and law from the University of Georgia before moving to New York to work in film. He edited the documentary Woodstock (1970).
Huggins later relocated to Los Angeles, where he served as editor on feature films including Cat People (1982), Personal Best (1982), Sing (1989), For the Boys (1991) and The Education of Little Tree (1997). He contributed additional or assembly editing to To Live and Die in L.A. (1985), Awakenings (1990), The Last of the Mohicans (1992) and Pulp Fiction (1994). He also edited television series and the 2014 documentary Jimi Hendrix: The Road to Woodstock. Huggins died on 17 September 2023 in Athens, Georgia.
