Biography
Jill Basey is an American actress. She was born on 11 October 1942.
She trained in theatre, receiving a B.A. from Illinois Wesleyan University and an M.A. from UCLA, where she won two Best Actress awards. Basey is a member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors' Equity Association.
Basey is known for guest roles in television series including PEN15 (2019) as Ms. Bell, How I Met Your Mother (2005) as Mrs. Perkins, Dexter (2006) as the Elderly Southern Nanny, Malcolm in the Middle (2000) as Shirley, Horrible Bosses 2 (2014) as the Older Receptionist, Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013) as Dotty, Young Sheldon (2017) as Barbara, Desperate Housewives (2004) as Jill Newman, Never Have I Ever (2020) as Mrs. Peppers, Parks and Recreation (2009) as Erica Weekstrong, and How to Get Away with Murder (2014) as the Librarian.
