Biography
Jim Dooley is an American composer for film, television and video games. Born in New York City, he studied music composition at New York University and later trained with Christopher Young, Elmer Bernstein and Leonard Rosenman in Los Angeles.
He joined Hans Zimmer's Media Ventures (now Remote Control Productions) in 1999, contributing additional music, arrangements and orchestrations to films including Gladiator (2000), Black Hawk Down (2001) and Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003). His solo credits include the score for the series Pushing Daisies (2007–2009), for which he received a Primetime Emmy Award, as well as When a Stranger Calls (2006), Obsessed (2009) and video games such as the SOCOM and Epic Mickey series.
