Biography
Joe Keaton, also credited as Joseph Hallie Keaton, was an American vaudeville performer and silent film actor. Born on 6 July 1867 in Terre Haute, Indiana, he performed in vaudeville with his wife Myra as the Two Keatons before their son Buster joined the act, which became known as the Three Keatons.
Keaton appeared in several films starring his son Buster Keaton. His credits include the roles of the engineer in Our Hospitality (1923), the girl's father and a man on the film screen in Sherlock Jr. (1924), and a Union general in The General (1926). He died on 13 January 1946 in California.
