Biography
Joel Ransom is a Canadian cinematographer. He worked as a camera operator on The X-Files before becoming director of photography for multiple episodes of the series from 1997 to 1998 and again for the 2016 revival. He also served as director of photography on five episodes of the miniseries Band of Brothers (2001).
Ransom has shot other television series including Lost in Space (2018), Caprica (2010) and Outcast (2014), as well as feature films such as The Stoning of Soraya M. (2009) and The Young Messiah (2016). He received Emmy nominations for his work on The X-Files and The Path to 9/11.
