Biography
John Bindon (4 October 1943 – 10 October 1993) was an English actor known for playing tough or criminal characters in British films of the 1960s and 1970s. Born in London, he was spotted by director Ken Loach in a pub and made his screen debut as Tom in Poor Cow (1967). He followed this with the role of Moody in Performance (1970).
Bindon appeared in Get Carter (1971) as Sid Fletcher, The MacKintosh Man (1973) as Buster, Barry Lyndon (1975) as a recruiting soldier, and Quadrophenia (1979) as Harry. He also worked as a bodyguard and had documented connections to the London underworld. He died in London in 1993.
