Biography
John Bishop is an English comedian, presenter and actor. Born in Liverpool in 1966, he began performing stand-up in the early 2000s after working in sales and as a semi-professional footballer.
He is known for television series including Skins (2007–2010) as Rob Fitch, Accused (2010) as Peter Cartwright and Route Irish (2010) as Frankie. Bishop played companion Dan Lewis in Doctor Who (2021–2022). He has hosted his own comedy and entertainment shows and contributed the story for the 2025 film Is This Thing On?.
