Biography
John Craven (1916–1995) was an American actor who worked in theatre, film and television. Born in New York City, he was the son of actor Frank Craven and came from a theatrical family spanning three generations.
He began his career on Broadway in the 1930s and originated the role of George Gibbs in the original stage production of Our Town (1938), appearing alongside his father. His film roles included Tobey George in The Human Comedy (1943). He appeared in numerous other films and television series, often in supporting or uncredited parts, with credits extending into the 1970s.
