Biography
John Cygan (1954–2017) was an American actor and comedian. He began his screen career in television in 1990, with regular roles as Harlan Stone in the sitcom Bob and as Detective Paulie "Pants" Pentangeli in The Commish, as well as guest appearances in The X-Files and Modern Family.
Cygan was also known for extensive voice work in animation and video games. He supplied additional voices for Pixar films including WALL·E (2008), Up (2009), Toy Story 3 (2010) as Twitch, Monsters University (2013) as Big Red, and Inside Out (2015). Other credits include voices in Horton Hears a Who! (2008), The Lorax (2012) and Despicable Me 2 (2013). He died of cancer in Woodland Hills, California.
