Biography
John Kerr is a British television writer. He has written more than 150 episodes of Coronation Street since joining the writing team in 2008, and contributed one episode to the final series of Shameless in 2013. He previously worked as a storyliner and writer on Emmerdale.
Before turning to writing, Kerr trained as an actor under the name John Sandford. His acting credits include a long-running role in Brookside and appearances in The Bill, Grange Hill and other series. He holds an MA in Writing for Television and Radio from Salford University.
