Biography
John Penotti is an American film and television producer. He co-founded GreeneStreet Films in 2001 and founded Ivanhoe Pictures in 2013, a company focused on local-language productions. Ivanhoe later merged with Sidney Kimmel Entertainment to form SK Global Entertainment, where he served as a founder and CEO; the company was acquired in 2022.
He is known for producing Crazy Rich Asians (2018). His other credits include executive producer on Hell or High Water (2016), producer on Greta (2019) and Awake (2007), and executive producer on The Book of Henry (2017) and The Midnight Meat Train (2008). He has produced numerous international projects, including the Netflix series Thai Cave Rescue (2022) and the series Delhi Crime.
Penotti is a graduate of Tufts University, summa cum laude, and was born in Paterson, New Jersey.
