Biography

John Veitch (1920–1998) was an American film producer, production manager and assistant director. He began his career as an actor in the early 1950s before moving into production roles, working as a location manager on films including Some Like It Hot (1959) and The Horse Soldiers (1959), and as unit production manager on The Magnificent Seven (1960).

Veitch later served as producer on Fast Forward (1985), Rainbow Drive (1990) and Fly Away Home (1996). He was co-producer on Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992) and executive producer on Suspect (1987). He produced Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (1994) alongside Francis Ford Coppola and James V. Hart.

He was married to Carol Lee Ladd from 1958 until his death and was son-in-law of actor Alan Ladd.
