Biography
Jon Jon Briones is a Filipino-American actor. Born Ernesto Cloma Briones Jr on 7 August 1965 in Quezon City, Philippines, he began his career in the ensemble of the original 1989 London production of Miss Saigon while still an engineering student.
He later played the role of The Engineer in the West End revival of Miss Saigon in 2014, earning a Laurence Olivier Award nomination for Best Actor in a Musical, and reprised the part on Broadway in 2017. Briones has appeared in numerous television series, including Ratched (2020) as Dr Richard Hanover, American Horror Story (2018) as Ariel Augustus, and The Last Voyage of the Demeter (2023) as Joseph. He is credited as Dr Guy in the 2026 series The Beauty.
Briones is married to actress and singer Megan Johnson Briones. Their children, Isa and Teo Briones, are also actors.
