Biography
Jonas Armstrong is an Irish actor based in the United Kingdom. He was born in Dublin on 1 January 1981 and trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, graduating in 2003.
He rose to prominence playing the title role in the BBC series Robin Hood (2006–2009). His film credits include Book of Blood (2009) and the role of Skinner in Edge of Tomorrow (2014). He has also appeared in television series such as Line of Duty, Ripper Street, Troy: Fall of a City and Strike.
Armstrong received critical acclaim for his portrayal of Barry Bennell in the 2022 television film Floodlights. More recent credits include After the Flood (2024) and Coma (2024).
