Biography
Jonathan Jones is a British cinematographer and director specialising in natural history documentaries and factual television. He has worked as director of photography on series including Planet Earth II (2016), for which he filmed sequences in the grasslands episode, and Tiny Creatures (2020).
Jones founded the production company Ember Films. His credits also include Prehistoric Planet (2022), The Hunt (2015) and Great Migrations (2010). He has received multiple Emmy awards and other honours for his cinematography.
