Biography
Josh Finan is a British actor from the Wirral, England. He studied English literature at the University of Sheffield and trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. His early stage work included productions with the Royal Shakespeare Company, such as Romeo and Juliet and Macbeth in 2018.
Finan gained recognition for his role as Marco in the BBC drama series The Responder (2022–2024). For the first series he received a nomination for the British Academy Television Award for Best Supporting Actor. Other television credits include Diggsy in Baby Reindeer (2024), Jethro in The Gentlemen (2024) and the younger Gerry Adams in Say Nothing (2024). Film roles include Novice in Hellboy (2019) and appearances in Surge (2020) and The Current War (2017).
In 2026 he took a lead role as Dan in the BBC series Waiting for the Out and appeared in How to Get to Heaven from Belfast. He has also featured in an episode of Black Mirror (2025).
