Biography
Julie Garfield is an American actress. Born on 10 January 1946 in Los Angeles, she is the daughter of actor John Garfield.
She began her career in the late 1960s with film roles including parts in John and Mary (1969), Love Story (1970) and The Hospital (1971). Her stage work includes Broadway appearances in The Merchant (1977), Poor Murderer (1976) and Death of a Salesman (1975). In 1971 she received the Theatre World Award and the Variety Drama Critics Award for her performance as Sonya in a Roundabout Theater production of Uncle Vanya.
Garfield's later film credits include The Front (1976) as Margo, Ishtar (1987) as Dorothy, GoodFellas (1990) as Mickey Conway and Stanley & Iris (1990) as Belinda. She has also appeared in television series such as Kojak, L.A. Law and Profiler. She works as an acting teacher and is a portrait painter.
