Biography
Julie Harris was a British costume designer. Born Diana Julie Harris on 26 March 1921 in London, she began her career in 1947 at Gainsborough Pictures on Holiday Camp and worked for the Rank Organisation before going freelance.
She designed costumes for A Hard Day's Night (1964), Help! (1965), Darling (1965), The Wrong Box (1966), Casino Royale (1967), Frenzy (1972) and Live and Let Die (1973). Harris won the Academy Award for Best Costume Design (black and white) for Darling and the BAFTA Award for Best Costume Design for The Wrong Box. She continued working on feature films and television until her retirement in 1991 and died in London on 30 May 2015.
